It's been months since i last blogged, many things have happened but unfortunately the bulk of events have probably faded from my memory (save for a couple of really important ones hehe) . Not surprising, given that my entire short-term memory, long-term memory, random access memory etc. etc. were devoted towards defusing the salvo of assignments thrown at me in the past few months.
Leaving for vietnam on saturday. The country immortalized in countless war films i.e. Platoon, Apocalypse Now, Hamburger Hill etc etc . Always thought the vietnamese were a resilient lot, having first repealed the monguls in ancient history followed by, in recent times, trashing the americans equipped with all their hight-tech weaponry and not to forget the chinese in 1979 and of course the Khmer Rougue in cambodia hehe. Did you know that the total tonnage of bombs dropped on vietnam during the vietnam war exceeds that dropped throughout WW2 hehe. Triumph of the human spirit and political determination.
Not too sure what to expect but food ought to be cheap too so that means being able to strech my dollar. Perhaps some time in future we can all go climb Fansipan in North Vietnam, air tickets being relatively cheap nowadays. Might be going up lang biang mountain this time round depending on many many parameters hehe. Anyway before i leave, i thought i should post some of the photos which i have taken in the past few months given that more photos are coming hehe.
