Back from reservist! Made aware of some unpleasant news by my brudder on the first day. Rightfully, i should have known about it earlier but i guess my brudders decided to keep it from me for a while. I guess ICT was a good time to tell me about it. To be honest, despite having moved on for quite some time already, it still hurts. Was looking for some thing, someone or rather some form of consolation / pillar of strength to tide me over. Ultimately (and not surprisingly), my source of solace came from the physical activity that came on the third day. With each step i take, each picket i hammered, each pull-up i made, the pain eased a little and by the time the exercise was cut on the fourth day, all the hurt within had practically been inundated by the fatigue washing through my body. The rest which ensued was...satisfying. Now that ICT's over, i have more or less come to accept the news (or rather the incident) as part of the process of (me) growing stronger. Well yeah, nobody likes to go back for reservist and neither does anyone like to sleep in the cold damp forest. For me however, ICT has been a therapeutic process, easing the hurt within while i grow stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. I guess ICT this time round has sort of made more apparent the entities and goals which i should rightfully pursue. As for the rest, they don't really concern me so i wish them the best. Yup, Mizuno run on Sunday. Heard there were only 3 tags left when xh and ym signed up last week. Haha guess its fated that we run the run. Allow me then to savor the pain. Actually i realised, where running, lifting weights, studying (as well as many other aspects of life) are concerned, once we reached a certain standard say A for a particular module, 12kg where weights are concerned or perhaps silver for ippt, we really hate settling for anything lesser next time round. Conversely, some opportunities never come knocking twice haha.
