Ok, maybe a couple of bits on my life lately hehe.
Upgraded my phone. Was contemplating the sony ericsson w200. The primary motivating factor here being that the phone cost zilch. Ultimately settled for nokia 6288 instead. Paid $138 for it, pretty cheap considering the fact that if i were to trade in now i would get $200. My presumption here is that i would get at least $100 bucks back when i trade in 2 years later which i believe is a valid presumption since nokia phones, for some unknown reason, tend to retain their value better. Correspondingly, $38 for a phone that plays mp3 coupled with a 2mega-pixel camera isn't that costly. My philosophy has always been that any phone will do, since ultimately we just use it to sms and make calls. Camera, mp3 player etc etc are really peripheral since we have other devices to accomplish those. Nevertheless, if the price is right, then i guess why not (to the peripherals). Anyway the phone's white. Actually i prefer black but my sis's one black so got white instead least our phones get mixed up. Also the white phone comes with a 128mb micro SD as compared to 64 Mb for the black 6288. I guess i can live with a little compromise in exchange for greater memory which is utterly essential. I copied her phone, she copies my theme haha
cute huh! anyway fyi, the penguin's the official mascot for Linux OS (imagine or rather pretend, linux on my phone hehe, changing to vista is a matter of a couple of clicks hehe). Black 6288, white 6288. I teach physics, maths she teach maths, physics. haha. One cannot help but wonder if fate is at work here although as a physicist, i would term this observation as an indication, a suggestion, a hint of symmetry and anti-symmetry at work. Symmetry afterall underlies all laws of nature. Imagine, 2 generations later, the stories our descendants will talk about us. Grandfather and grand-auntie were teachers...Of course, it remains to be seen if our eventual spouses are teachers as well. haha.
