I must confess, God has been very kind to me these days despite the fact that i very much don't deserve such kindness. Minutes prior to this post , it was swelteringly hot and, typical of me and possibly many others as well, i was determined to lament about it. Now the sky's overcast and it's probably going to rain in the latter part of today, finally some respite from the heat, it seems that i have become increasingly intolerant of hot weather these days. Anyway back to issue on blessings...i guess yesterday would be an apt testimony of God's grace. Yup, yup, i finally took my ippt after weeks of procrastination. Seriously i wasn't expecting much of it, given the fact that i can't jump far, SBJ has always been my limiting factor, the bottle neck. Not wanting to make a wasted trip down to the fcc, I have been doing a bit of jumping (at home that is) every now and then but everytime i would barely make the cut (oh yes, i made markings outside my flat along the corridor), in fact i was pretty demoralised the day prior to the test (friday). In light of the above, it's little wonder that i was plesantly surprised when i cleared the 221 on my first try and on the second attempt i landed on 225...phew. Not too sure how that happened...my sis told me jumping on the mat was different but by 10cm, that's quite a discrepancy. Shuttle run was also faster than usual...9.9s, that's probably a record for me haha i can't sprint for goodness sake. Looking at my hairy, long, two toned (and hence sexy legs), i guess you don't need to be a PhD holder to see that i'm run far (ok lar not that far either) not fast...sprinting or any activity that requires and explosive power like jumping! requires hamstrings and i don't have them hehe... anyway i'm got silver (yes i like to brag haha).
Something interesting to note however...i bought new shoes for the test haha (ok lar i need new running shoes anyway) and they set me back by $140, suppose that the shoes played a contributary role (in addtion to divine help) in my ippt results then i guess i have effectively earned a profit of $60 only. Now, if i hadn't bought the shoes, (and thus get a pass instead, going by my above presumption), i would have netted $100 instead... ironic right...haha
So that's about it guys...i guess now that the ippt's over...i can concentrate on other things like pull ups haha...yes yes yes i must break the 20 mark (but no hurry lar haha)...after that i could bulk up, shave my legs and joined MR SINGAPORE (just kidding...you probably won't appreciate this joke) wonder if i could bag the MR SEXY LEGS award haha. if you know me well enough, you probably would realise that i do NOT need the veiws of others to asertain my self worth...the only person who is befitting to judge me is Myself and the other being my God, that's why if i could train till i'm fit enough for Mr Singapore... I might as well join the triathalon where the only person to trash is yourself, literally and figuratively.
