Finally i got to taste the lengendary Ben & Jerry's (not too sure if it comes with an apostrophe) ice cream (at United Square) after having read so often about it on CC's blog. I guess today's probably my best working day in my entire working experince. Not that i got to taste the lengendary ice cream but rather i got to do it while i was on the job hehe. Examining the whole of today in retrospect or more specifically the events leading to my virgin taste of ben and jerry's, all i can say is that they were induibitably amusing.
Reported at 8am at Lot 1 today, spent the entire morning engaging in some heavy duty lifting and shifting...reminded me of the days when i was in the army. Finished setting up the atrium by noon...just as i was thinking that the worse was over and that i could spend the rest of day standing around, resting A told me to go down to United Square to help set up yet another atrium.
At that particular juncture, i was thinking, either A was impressed by my efficiency in the morning or he wanted to seperate me from wei wei haha. I believe the latter is the more probable reason, told you A liked wei wei. Haha just joking ok and i just think xw's a nice person (maybe xh's equivalent but due to the little amount of interaction... i cannot substatiate nor verify this claim please don't misconstrue this opnion of mine as an indication of an infatuation)
Well the atrium at United Square was comparatively smaller...finished everything by 6.30pm..was suppose to go back to lot 1 but apparently the supervisor had to go to lot 1 instead and left uncle pang, kk and me to look after the stuff so effectively we slacked all the way from 7pm to 10pm hehe (the atrium opens only tommorrow so all we had to do was sit around and talk cok) Had a rather relaxed dinner with kk at the food court, wasn't a least bit crowded, those 30 mins seemed longer than usual though, maybe it's good company... some time after dinner, can't remember precisely when, kk sunddenly started talking about ben & jerry's (didn't know they had a branch upstairs...i always thought it was some foreign ice-cream that you get to find it only in the US haha). She suggested buying one down for me i f i wanted one, no, she suggested twice haha... i told kk i wasn't craving for any ice-cream at that juncture but nevertheless...sensing she was looking for a reason to indulge in ben & Jerry's... i obliged her even though she insisted she wasn't a bit yearning for it haha.
Comments on the ice cream:
Premium quality but comparable to Haagen Dazs (pardon me if i get the spelling wrong...i'm no ice cream connoisseur) and hence invariably typical particularly if we would to consider the better brands.
Lousy paper wrapping that stuck to my cone...had a hard time peeling it off, ended up with ice cream over all my fingers .
Despite the above i guess one can argue that Ben & Jerry's is lengendary given the fact that it costs $4 a scoop.
What can i say ... just making yet another Ben & jerry's fan happy cause i offended another one recently.
In conclusion, Novena's a really nice place to hang out in the night...cool and quiet... hah totally irrelevant
