I assure you that the results aren't rigged in the sense that i didn't answer them in such a way that my ideal major would be dance although such an outcome correlates nicely with the theme of this blog. Despite your prejudices (i'm sure you are going to insist that timmy isn't that artistic), the results seem pretty accurate or rather reflective of my innate interests (other than engineering and mathematics but then again the term "engineering" could well meant physics, i mean eveyone has a different perception of physics right, some see as physics as being analogous to engineering while i see it as being some what more interesting as compared to engineering, at least we are dealing with natural phenomena as compared to builidings and nos. per se ). Well at least i did once contemplated being a journalist although i dismissed the idea when i thought that there wasn't much job prospect given the limited no. of mass media agencies in s'pore. Further more i needed someone to pay for my tution fees and i figured out that my grades probably weren't good enough to qualify for a SPH scholarship. Anyway i don't think i will be content with writing editorials in an office the whole day, i was actually more interested in a dynamic post that would allow me to go round the world, down the frontline like what you would expect of a war journalist. Channel news asia is by far the most promising agency i see today but then again they have overseas correspondents (hence no need for local to travel to the hotspot) and they are pretty tame. Imagine what's the probability of me landing a job with FOX news or CBS whatever. Probably zero i guess. Oh yeah i hate philosophy, find it too abstract although now having been through Virtue and Leadership the last sem, i must say philosophy in small doses is still tolerable if not intersting. As for dance, ok maybe its my appreciation for free form and the human body. What do i mean by appreciation for the human body. well its really hard to quantify this statement but i guess its similar to the awe when you look at Michelangelo's David, you know the asthetic appeal that lies beneath a sculptured human body, that perfection. Ballet artistes happen to have very chiselled bodies. As for free form, i hated to dance in mass dances, think its kinda riduculous when everybody's dancing the same stupid choreographed steps, maybe some choreography is needed but i think dance steps should emanate from your feelings. See dance as a form of liberation although i must say i'm not trained in this field other than pub dancing haha. Maybe can try tango, sensual and sexy, but need to find a partner first.
